From the Desk of the Volunteer Coordinator

Volunteers!  Don’t forget Tuesday, September 21 is your day!  Come join us at 3:00 p.m. for Food, Fun & Friendship.  Please RSVP to Margie by September 15 – 932-4044  X8.

Aylene, Manager of our thrift store, Stop ‘N Shop, and her Volunteer Team did a great job during the West Seattle Street Festival.  The weather was perfect!  Kudos to the Stop ‘N Shop Volunteer Team – Alton, Tom, Jewels, Kim, Noreen, Marvin, Jason, Jodall, Fran, Pat, Jean, Emily, Flo, and Aishia.  You guys are awesome!

If you were one of the spectators at the West Seattle Parade on Saturday, July 24th and endured the heat of the day, you’ll be happy to know that the Senior Center took 3rd Place in the Antique Car Division.  Good Job Gang!

For those of you who bring in all those Metropolitan Market and Thriftway receipts, you’ll be interested to know that the Center has received cash-backs of $1,267.30 since the beginning of the 2010.   Keep those receipts coming – they add up.

Volunteers are needed for our Friday night Rainbow Bingo and  Monday night Waffle Dinners.  For more information call Margie – 932-4044 X8.

Be Well and Happy!

Margie Williamson, Volunteer Coordinator
