Thursdays, 10am to 11am. This is an ongoing class. Explore mindfulness, meditation, stress reduction and other empowering strategies and how they can be applied in daily life. These simple and subtle practices invite us to patiently retrain our bodies and minds to establish a more regulated nervous system. This class blends instruction, activities, discussion, and practices of mindfulness and meditation. The support of a facilitator is beneficial in developing a personal practice and to ask questions and learn from experience. Instructor Kate Jarvis, MIT (Master in Teaching). Founder of Practice Seattle, an organization dedicated to daily practices, peace and service, Kate is a student of awareness practice, a certified yoga instructor, and has studied with Jack Kornfield, Tara Brach, Cheri Huber, Mindful Schools and more.
